Walk of Fame International

Everybody loves a story…and every city has its own legends. We have found a special way for cities to share their folklore – welcome wstorto the ‘Honor Walk” from Walk of Fame International. Walk of Fame International partners with local governments to commemorate key elements and people in a city’s history. Our Honor Walks are unique because Walk of Fame International incorporates a customized combination of medallions, plaques, landscaping, urban furniture, street art, interpretive signs, quizzes, merchandising, apps, websites, games, contests and other innovations to share a memorable local apollo-walk-of-fameexperience. Our business plan invigorates cities’ promenade districts while raising funds that can be used for a variety of ventures, including city improvement projects.

Our company, Walk of Fame International and our 501(c)3 WOFI Honor, partner with city governments and local sponsors to pay tribute to their City and its attributes. Using custom-created wall, walkway and sidewalk medallions, sculpture, urban furniture, apps, urban trail markers, websites, merchandising, games, contests and incentives, we create a new destination landmark and increase tourism revenues.civic-lights-at-dusk-nice

FOUNDING

Walk of Fame International came into being in 2014 because of the need to physically unite neighborhoods and invigorate urban areas. Founding member Jodi Summers was serving as a Community Liaison and member of the prestigious Santa Monica Civic Auditorium Working Group. She knew there had to be an entertaining and inspiring way to link the landmark Civic Auditorium to downtown Santa Monica, which was on the other side of the freeway, a half mile away. The vision was to create an urban trail; making the walk an attraction in and of itself as well as the unifier between here and there.

We are in conversation with cities, counties and municipalities throughout the country developing and executing ideas on how to invigorate their urban areas and take advantage of existing assets. Our country has a wealth of stories hidden in plain sight, we want to bring those stories into modern reality.

The Walk of Fame International team is a group of accomplished professionals who are enthusiastic about the idea of sharing local art, heritage and history and making urban trails a 21st century treasure.
